Philadelphia is well known for its LOVE park sign – and as we are located in a Philadelphia Suburb why not make a design inspired by the city of brotherly love!
What colors did I use?
I used Americolor food coloring, which is a really good brand used in cake decorations!
Why didn’t I use natural food coloring?
Because I’ve tried red, and it usually washes out during the bake.
Can I use any bread recipe to make this design?
Absolutely! you can use a sourdough bread or a commercial yeast bread. Just make sure that your dough is not to lose so it holds the shape as you are painting it.
